Agreed, I am so glad that tthis has all happened in my lifetime. It will probably enable me to keep communicating well with my kids and maybe grandkids too someday. @Brogan-All points duly noted. At the very least maybe some poor word choice making reference to the people on Facebook that supported you. I for one was also feeling a little insulted or "played." I tried Facebook based on everyone's posting that it was quite useful, that there were lots of engaged people, etc. I enjoy the platform for what it can do. I'm frustrated that it won't permit data back OFF the platform (via RSS). I want tools that make it easier to do what I seek to get done (have a team of people be engaged in helping). It's not whitewater for churn's sake. It's the hope that I can find the right platform to do what I hope a team of engaged people will be willing to do. It seems to me that the people who keep it real on their own terms (like Scoble most of the time) and don't waste time looking over their shoulders at numbers of followers or link love--those are the ones I enjoy reading and hearing the most. It's a fine free-for-all out here, a chance for all of us to learn to be authentic and play nice with the other kids. I love it and am so glad I lived long enough to see this new virtual world unfold.
